Natasha Van Duser, better known as Makeup By Teezy, began working in the print industry when she was only 19 years old. Being hired at Inked Magazine as a sophomore in college, she worked on countless features and photo shoots as a staff writer and associate editor. After graduating New York University in 2014, she began to transition out of the journalism world to pursue a more concrete career in the industry she fell in love with while working on a variety of sets: makeup!
Beginning as a self-taught artist, she would eventually get picked up by the experimental launch of The Sephora Studio where she began a more formal training under three senior artists before attending the Fashion Program at New York's Make-Up Designory.
Teezy loves to combine traditional beauty makeup with fantastical, dark surrealism. She has a diverse portfolio having worked in everything from bridal parties to rock music videos.
“I design makeup to inspire confidence, creativity and new perspectives in all who see and wear it. I work to expand the ideals of beauty beyond the traditional norm to include everything from high art and the macabre to glitter and the grotesque; to show that punk is the new pretty and aesthetics have no boundaries.”
